INGREDIENTS
- 2 slices white Bread
- 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
- 2-3 slices American Cheese Or Cheddar
- Black pepper (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- After arranging all the required ingredients, you should start by spreading 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Then, place the slices of American cheese or cheddar cheese on one of the bread slices. Top the other buttered bread slice over the cheese( butter side facing downwards)
- Heat a skillet or a non-stick pan over medium/low heat. Then grease the skillet with butter generously with a brush and then place the sandwich on the skillet.
- It is recommended to maintain a low heat to allow the cheese to fully melt while the bread toasts and crisps. It takes some patience to make the perfect toasted cheese sandwich.
- Make sure to reduce the heat if the browning of the bread is too rapid.
- Your toasted cheese sandwich is ready when both sides of bread are golden brown and the cheese is melted. To serve, cut the sandwich in half diagonally.
